Mangaluru, April 14: The B Ed students of St Ann's College of Education gathered with great zeal and passion to witness the annual sports event on April 11. Dr Kishore Kumar C K, Director of Physical education, Mangalore University inaugurated the sports meet.
Addressing the students at the inauguration programme, Dr Kishore articulated that in order to become good teachers, one needs to imbibe good qualities from sports like fitness, psychological and emotional fitness and many more so as to flourish well in the teaching profession. He also appreciated the eminence and splendour of all the groups in the sports event.
In accordance Hezil Miranda, the Sports Secretary led the Parade along with the B Ed students marching with pride and elegance. The students danced to the rhythm of the beats by performing Aerobics, a form of beautiful and enchanting exercises. After the formal programme, a number of sports events were planned for the B Ed students' wherein all of them enthusiastically participated. The overall championship was bagged by the group members of the Shivaji team.
The individual Championships were won by Ramya Rani and Shwetha Keshav Gowda. Smisha Varadu compered the programme and Nirmala Vas proposed Vote of thanks.
