Mangaluru, Apr11: Father Muller Medical College will hold inter-collegiate cultural and sports fest, ‘Adrenaline 2015’ from April 16 to 19 at its college premises.
‘Adrenaline 2015-Feel the Rush’:
As a grand celebration of completing 15 glorious years, Father Muller Medical College will be holding an inter-college cultural cum sports fest- Adrenaline - 2015 in the month of April. The following are some details about this event:
• ADRENALINE will be held from 16th to 19th of April 2015. The events will be held from 9 AM to 10 PM.
• Tata Gluco Plus will be the main sponsor of the event.
• Forty-nine colleges, which include medical, dental, engineering, law and other noted colleges in and around Mangalore are expected to participate in this event.
• ADRENALINE will comprise of 35 events that include fine arts, literary, cultural, and academic, sports as well as informal events.
• The Inaugural Function: It will be held on April 16 at 7 PM in Father Muller Ground. The chief guest for the function will be Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, Commissioner, Mangaluru City Corporation. The Guest of Honour will be Ester Noronha, celebrity artiste.
• The highlights of the Fest are the famous Battle of the Bands; thematic and non-thematic dance competitions, and Western and Eastern group singing competitions, Basket Ball and Football tournaments.
• A live concert night is organized on April 17 and Carnival night on April 18.
• The informal events i.e. pot-breaking competition, arm wrestling, The 3 Hungry Men eating contest promises to be major crowd-pullers.
• Attractive cash prizes worth over Rs three lakhs will be given to the winners of various events.
• It aspires to be a platform for students of various colleges to portray their vast talents and abilities.
• A onetime College registration fees of Rs 5000/- will be charged after which students are allowed to take part in all events.
• Entry will be only with college ID card.
• Entry into campus is only through Pumpwell entrance.
Father Muller Hospital opened its doors to the people of South Canara in 1880. The medical college was started in 1991 with post-graduate courses and then went on to include other courses under its banner. The MBBS course was started in 1999 and this year we celebrate the completion of 15 glorious years. Recently the medical college has also been accredited with A Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
