Mangaluru, Apr 11: Chandrashekar Rao B who was the deputy general manager till now has been promoted as the general manager of Mangaluru headquartered Karnataka bank.
Chandrashekar Rao hails from Alangar near Moodbidri. He went to St Ignatius school in Kadalakere and then to St Thomas school in Alangar for his primary and higher primary studies. Then onwards he had his studies at Jain high school and Jain junior college before finishing his commerce graduation at Dhavala College in Moodbidri.
Rao joined Karnataka bank in 1995. He worked in New Delhi, Ludhiana and Bengaluru branches of Karnataka bank as manager. He was the chief manager at Karnataka bank Bengaluru overseas branch.
Rao was made AGM in 2008 and he was elevated to the position of DGM in 2012.
Chandrashekar is also as an associate chartered accountant and certified associate of institute of banking and finance (CAIIB).
