'Denis Trophy' volleyball tourney held at Jappinamogaru

Mangaluru, Apr 6: Congress Ward Committee and Youth Congress, Jeppinamogaru organised floodlight Volleyball tournament 'Dennis Trophy 2015' in memory of Congress senior leader and former Zilla Panchayath member Late Dennis D'Souza on April 5, 2015 at Jeppinamogaru ground near Vaidyanatha Mahadwara, Mangaluru.

Minister for youth empowerment, sports and fisheries, Abhayachandra Jain inaugurated the tournament and district in charge Ramanath Rai presided over the ceremony.

Sridevi Education Trust (R) A Sadananda Shetty inaugurated the formal ceremony.









Chief guests were former union minister Oscar Fernandes, Minister for health and family welfare U T Khader, MLA Mangaluru South J R Lobo, MLA Mangaluru North Moideen Bawa,MLC Ivan D'Souza, KPCC member K S Masood, MUDA chairman Ibrahim Kodijaal, Mayor of MCC Jecintha Alfred, former MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty, Chairman of Kanachur institute U K Monu, deputy mayor of MCC Purushotham , Corporator Praveen Chandra Alva, Daughter in law of Dennis D'Souza- Jecintha D'Souza, J Nagendra Kumar, Naveen Steevan, Shashikanth and others were present.
