Bengaluru, Apr 6: On the first day itself, strike disrupted the evaluation of second PUC papers. A ‘symbolic strike’, as they called it, was observed for a half day on Sunday by the lectures who were engaged to evaluate the PUC papers.
But in the afternoon when that so called symbolic strike was over, they could not get the answer papers as a result of the half day strike. Hence the result of the first evaluation was zero.
The lecturers On Sunday came in time at 9. 00 a m at 41 evaluation centres in the state. But after entering the centres, they boycotted the evaluation with some of their demands and came out from the centres. The demands included partiality in remuneration, disparities in allowances etc.
The lectures who resumed work in the afternoon after a rest of half a day did not have anything to evaluate as the answer papers were not to be found. They could only ‘evaluate’ their own strike which took place between morning and afternoon.
No one from the board has issued any clarification so far. Now it is hoped that on Monday the PUC papers will be evaluated.
