Udupi, Apr 5: Quality enhancement and sustenance are the priorities in higher education. Inspiring students to create something new which is highly practicable is seen at St. Mary’s College Shirva. A student of BCA Neil Jackson has developed a Software useful to evaluate the teachers.
Prof. BhaskarShetty, Secretary, private colleges management association said after launching the software, “This software is highly useful to evaluate teachers in higher education. Improvement is only possible when we are evaluated by others. Department of collegiate education introduced a manual system of evaluation of teachers by the students. A lot of money, effort and time are wasted in serving the forms, getting the feedback from the students and analysing the outcome. This is wonderful software, wherein analysis is completed in a fraction of a second”.
He congratulated Neil Jackson for his unique achievement. Fr. StanyTauro, the correspondent of St. Mary’s and Don Bosco institutions in Shirva, said, “Any product ultimately should reach the customers. This is a unique achievement of a BCA student to develop a software which is user friendly. I congratulate Neil Jackson”.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Rajan V.N. Principal of the college said "BCA course today is one of the highly demanded courses in the employment market. Most of the BCA students of the college have been already recruited by Wipro, TCS, Robosoft and other software companies. We are proud on the achievement of Neil Jackson in developing the software."
Neil Jackson said on his introductory remarks that this software provides utmost privacy to the student to evaluate their teachers on various areas and it also serves as a mirror to the teacher. Prof. Praveen Kumar, Head of the department of BCA recognised the achievers with cash prizes. Sushmitha Bhat II BCA compered the programme.
