Bengaluru, Mar 28: Gunashekhar (55), a resident of Hanumanth Nagar Colony in Srirampura here was murdered allegedly by  a person who had a recent misunderstanding with his son. In this connection, Srirampura police have arrested a person named Satya (30), who works as a bar bender.

It is said that Satya and Gunashekhar;s son, Karthik (20), had fought over the issue of buying liquor a week ago. During this quarrel, Karthik had thrashed Satya black and blue in the presence of several people. It is said that Karthik thereafter boasted about this thrashing with various people. Angered by this propaganda, Satya had intercepted Karthik on Thursday afternoon and beat him up. After knowing about this incident, Karthik's mother had gone to Satya's house where she gave Satya's mother a tongue-lashing.

Satya, who returned home at 9.30 pm on Thursday, learnt about the fact that Karthik's mother had raised a din near his home. He directly went to Karthik's house to question him and his parents. After finding that Karthik was not at home, he fought with Gunashekhar. After the verbal friction heated up, Satya took out a knife and stabbed Gunashekhar at various places. The neighbours took Gunashekhar immediately to a hospital but his life could not be saved. He breathed his last early morning on Friday, police said.
