Mangaluru, Mar 28: Karnataka State Government Employees Association has demanded initiation of legal action against the people who had tried to attack Dakshina Kannada district health officer (DHO), Dr Ramakrishna Rao.
It may be recalled that an irate mob, which was protesting the death of two persons who were identified during health check up at Panaje of having heart-related ailments and were operated upon at Mangaluru. The mob had tried to attack doctors of a private hospital in Mangaluru and DHO during their visit.
The association, which has urged the police department to immediately book the culprits, have warned of protest by way of wearing black badges if the attackers are not arrested within three days. District president of the association, George Pinto, explained about this plan of action at a press conference held here on Thursday March 27.
Dr Ramakrishna Rao, Dr NaveenKumar, and Jayaram Poojary, were present.
