Bengaluru, Mar 25: In connection with the murder of a carpenter named Venkatesh near the regional transport office (RTO) at Electronics City here on March 19, Mico Layout police have arrested four persons. Venkatesh's wife and her paramour are among the arrested persons.
Yashoda from Bilekahalli, her paramour, Murugesh from Tamil Nadu, Raghupathi and Parameshwar stand arrested. The policemen said that illicit relationship between Yashoda and Murugesh was the root cause of murder.
Yashoda, who belongs to Hosur taluk of Tamil Nadu, had developed friendship with Murugesh, and this ignited fight between the husband-wife duo. Venkatesh had given an ultimatum to his wife to sever all connections with Murugesh. Angered by this, Murugesh planned murder of Venkatesh along with a relative named Raghupati and another friend.
Raghupati offered to extend financial help to Venkatesh, who was building a house in Tamil Nadu, and asked him to come near the RTO office in Electronics City. The accused then offered liquor to Venkatesh and slit his throat once he was fully drunk, policemen said.
