Sullia, Mar 24: In a tragic accident which occurred at Aramboor near here on Monday March 23, a boy moving on a bicycle lost his life after a KSRTC bus coming at considerable speed from the opposite direction knocked him down.

The deceased has been identified as Abu Tahir (11), son of Ahmed, resident of Kallumutlu here. Ahmed is an auto rickshaw driver by profession. Abu Tahir breathed his last while being taken to a hospital after suffering grave injuries in this accident.

Abu Tahir had appeared for the examination on Monday. After the examination, he had distributed chocolates to classmates. He was going in his bicycle for giving chocolate to his elder sister, who is married, at her residence. Chocolates were found to have been strewn around at the spot of the accident.

Two elder sisters of Abu Tahir are married and he was moving to the house of one of them when tragedy struck. He was the only son of the four children of his parents, and was a fifth standard student of Green View school here. He is survived by three sisters apart from parents.

The KSRTC bus in question was moving towards Mangaluru from Madikeri. There has been an increase in the traffic on this road, because of the closure of Shiradi Ghat road. Vehicles keep vying with each other, posing threat to road users.

It is very sad and unbearable loss for families to suffer, every day.
Life lost is gone forever therefore it cannot be considered a loose of wicket.
Pride, selfishness and ego kill the priceless human lives on daily basis.
Unless we think different and implement change the situation won’t improve on ground
Roads are messed with all sizes of vehicles and increased people without foot paths
Let us plan to have only those vehicles roads which make the movement smooth, maintain safety and satisfy the basic transport need.

I do not wish to offer lip service like politicians saying RIP.
Thinking out of the box the only immediate solution that comes to my mind is 90% of all fatal accidents involve 2 wheelers.
In Mumbai we have 6 lane express ways with parallel service roads.
I guess the only solution is to have a separate parallel road exclusively for 2 wheelers.

Inna Lillahi va inna Ilaihi rajivoon. May the boy's soul rest in peace. I pray with the Almighty to bless him a eternal heaven the Jannah and also bless almighty the strength to bear this tragic loss of the dear one to parents and family members. After all its the fate of human beings. Being a social creature People should take precautionary measures to avoid such incidents by maximum effort by educating the road risk fatalities, those who are residing near such highways.

Every day one reads of these accidents caused by reckless drivers. S precious life of young by is last

In the3 City the buses halt at any place to take passengers ignoring the designated bus halts. Rickshaw drivers are often seen overtaking from the left. If there is an accident they try to put the blame on the four wheel drivers.

Dear Daiji world, you are showing daily news of accidents. Please show us also the rules applied to avoid the accidents. Is this just to read as a news or can you do something? As I feel no action is being taken seriously. Totally reactive system. No such state of accident records can be found.
