Bengaluru, Mar 22: Hagaribommanahalli in Ballari district recorded maximum temperature of 41.9°C while Bethamangala in Kolar district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 13.2°C. These temperatures were recorded on March 20 at 3. 30 pm and on March 21 at 6.45 am respectively.
More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 17.9% geographical area and less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 87.4% geographical area in the state.
Rainfall over the state is considered as negligible since 0% of the hoblis and gram panchayats recorded rainfall of more than 2.5mm. No rainfall was recorded at all in any of the 3,212 gram panchayats across Karnataka.
Karnataka for period from March 15 to March 21 recorded surplus rainfall of 43%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 1.1mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 1.6mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on March 21, four geographical regions received 0 mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 0.1mm, a 100% deficit departure from the weighted average normal.
