Mangaluru: Billavas demand their candidate as city mayor

Mangaluru, Mar 11: Billava community leaders have demanded Congress party to consider a candidate from Billava community for the position of Mayor in the upcoming selection.

This was revealed at a press meet held here at Mangaluru on Wednesday March 11.

Umesh Dandakeri, Billava community leader said "For the past few decades Billava community has contributed in building and organizing the party. Billava community has given its own contribution to different fields of society. Billava community has worked hard for the party to win from local to state level. In the past corporation election our community has given its own contributions and this has to be considered. Without mounting to pressure Mayor position has to be given to most eligible
leader of billava community."

Vineeth Bangera, Vidyadar, Santhosh Dandakeri and Keshava B S, leaders of billava community were present at the press meet.

    Should be Mr. Prabhu.. In mangalore 3 lakh Billawas are leaving.. Deffenately for better understanding the demand and requirements of Billawa only a Billawa can understand..see what lobo is doing..favour to one community..
