Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Mar 4: The suspension of six students of Govinda Dasa College Suratkal has since been revoked. They were suspended by the principal of the college for violating rules relating to not bringing cell phones into the college premises.

A photograph of a student lying on the laps of five girl students seated on chairs, had been uploaded in Facebook. Relating to the incident, a student was kidnapped and beaten up. Protest was held in front of the college demanding severe action against students involved, upon which the principal had suspended the students after calling a meeting of their parents. The matter had been referred to the university for guidance.

Everyone Learns from their Mistakes. Sometimes the Hard way. Let them continue their education. It is a necessity in today's world. It would prevent them from choosing the wrong paths in future.

It's a good decision which will help the students to build their career in the future. Education is very important in life. No doubt, the incident has opened the eyes of lots of parents and students as well.

“Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family”

Humiliations and being despised is one of the also worst forms of suffering for people. The students already suffered enough. Please forgive them. This will be the life long experience for them and will definitely emerge a matured, a responsible citizen of India, better than any other common person..

    Forgive and forget.

The students have long life and studies is most important.

Alow them to study and write for examinations.

    Don't debar from the college.

They must be given some physical punishment so that they should remember and realize the grave error committed in their whole life similar to the photo which remains saved in the whole life memories of people in the society.

They should apologize to the girls and to the society as well in the public. Because they shown the photo to the public.

I have a different angle here. If we keep excusing such behaviors, now in college, how and when these youth will learn to change. Now it's evident that what ever they do it will be excused. Can anybody guarantee that these students will change. Definitely not. Instead they may go beyond. This is the mail reason for all issues around in our society, including crimes. No punishment for any crimes or mistakes. If there is a clear threat of getting punished severely , then only people will think before acting. If we keep excusing with some stupid reasons, these acts will keep increasing.

Good decision... better not to spoil the life of those girls. They will learn from the mistakes.. But the two boys, who are seen in the photo, should not be pardoned easily. They should spend at least one year in Jail......Regarding the other criminal Vineeth, is hiding like Bhagoda Tagodia, and should be put in jail at least for 10 years....

I am glad by this revocation. Being this the exam time, an entire year would have gone down the drain leading the students to lose interest in studies. Loss of revenue to parents and a aimless child they don't know what to do with.

We learn from our mistakes. I am sure this will be a practical mistake to all involved, never to repeat again.

My best wishes to you all guys, do well in your studies and make your parents/school proud.

this is wrong! they should be suspended atleast until Vineeth is caught! and the real photo is shown to all! this photoshop business has become dirty! let the girls come out and issue public statement.. by the looks of it, none of those kids are really interested in studies and will further do damage to the reputation of college and student community! ... keep them suspended, please!

    Vellano1,

If the girls had willingly allowed him to lay on their lap, they would have kept their hands away from his body weight instead of getting crushed, if not on his body. At a first look at it I knew the picture was doctored but refrained form commenting because it incorrect to drag young girls/boys in dirty publicity.

Secondly, where the legs of the boy end, there are some tile-like lines on the wall that start from the place the boy is seated. This again shows merging of two pictures to bring the boy from somewhere else into this picture.

Now, you imagine who may have done this and who will gain. We have enough examples happened in the past to incite communal unrest. Therefore, its better either to leave it alone or support when innocent are not punished.

Very good observations. Mai I think before working in bank was in C.I.D.
    (Photo department).
1.Knows every angle of support and all that.
    2. Also 'weight crushing' on lap and other minute details.
    3. Legs of boys ending and girls starting and all that-who has noticed?
Kudos Lydia Mai- Your 'Eagle Eyes' deserve the 'Detective Eyes' of the year award! And it's hardly March in 2015! You have 'stolen a march' over others.
