Frank Fernandes' film 'Jai Tulunad' gets rolling, muhurat held in Tumkur

Mangaluru, Feb 17: Fans of Tulu cinema have a new movie to look forward to, as 'Jai Tulunad' got rolling with the muhurat at Nandihalli village in Tumkur district recently.

The film has been produced by Dubai-based entrepreneur Frank Fernandes and directed by Praveen. Co-producers of the film are S G Shivanna Nandihalli and Ali Nisar Ahmed.

The story has been written by Devi Puttur and the dialogues by S S David and Praveen. Music has been scored by James Architect. Several singers including Dr S P Balasubrahmanyam are rendering their voices for the songs of the film.

Avinash Shetty and up-and-coming star Sonal Monteiro are the lead actors of the film while Deekshitha Acharya of 'Rang' fame plays an important character.

Navin D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Bhavya, Swatik Shankar, Nayana Grahan, Alisha Andrade and Manmohan Rai are the actors who have been signed to perform in the film.

Frank Fernandes, Sarojini Shetty, Sai Prashanth D S, Shivanna Nandihalli, Jagadish Shetty , Ravi Gokak, and Byndoor Meese Gopala will also star in the film.

The shooting for the movie will be held in various places including Tumkur, Nandihalli, Madikeri, Sullia and Mangaluru. The release date of the film will be announced soon.

    It is good to see that there is indeed talent in the community. There is a biblical saying - that A LIT CANDLE SHOULD NOT BE KEPT UNDER A BUSHEL BUT OUTSIDE. And here it is great see John Fernandes fully making use of THE GOD GIVEN TALENT.

    Good luck John and may this be a forerunner of many more films to follow. Kudos to you. Congrats to Praveen for the meticulous direction and to all who have taken part in bringing out a great film.
