Bengaluru, Feb 18 : Bannanje Raja, who is in his late 40s, and who was learnt to have adopted the name of Hegde Kumar Raja Hemanath when he was arrested on February 9 by the Interpol with the help of Indian RAW agency, holding passport number Z1849131, is reportedly holding three Indian passports.
In an exclusive information revealed to daijiworld by Moroccan sources who also released the picture of Raja (Feb 9, 2015), it has come to light that Raja is suffering from acute diabetes, but has been given enough beating by the local police to reveal the nature of the crime he was carrying out from Morocoo.
It is also revealed that the union government of India is cooperating well in this case under the leadership of external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and home minister Rajnath Singh, who have been quick to provide necessary paperwork to the Interpol and the local Moroccan agencies, so that the formalities are completed within 40 days as stipulated by the international law.
Though there is no extradition treaty between India and Morocco, the Morocco government has agreed to deport Raja in the next 30 days upon request from the union government of India.

Bannanje Raja, an elusive underworld operative who is wanted in more than 40 criminal cases, including the December 2013 murder of a BJP leader in Karwar, has been nabbed in Morocco by the Interpol. But Indian RAW agency (Research and Analysis Wing, the primary foreign intelligence agency of India) has reportedly played a bigger role in his arrest.
It is also revealed that Raja was constantly issuing threats to businessmen in Dubai and Mangaluru for hefty sums. At least 5-6 businessmen have obliged him and paid the demanded money in the last three months. Raja reportedly disclosed the names of the businessmen in Dubai who gave money to him. But a demand of Rs 5 crore from a Mangalurean businessman in Dubai proved costly for Raja, ultimatley landing him in big trouble.
The business community in Mangaluru and Bangaluru has welcomed the news of Raja's arrest, terming this is as a big relief to the business community as he was harassing them and their families day and night for money and issuing threats if they refused.
S Murugan, regarded as one of the most upright officers in the IPS cadre, who is currently police commssioner of Mangaluru, will be reportedly handling Bannanje Raja's case after the latter is deported to India next month.
