Bengaluru, Feb 15: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is not happy with health minister U T Khader on the issue of control of swine flu in the state.
As per reports, Khader was summoned by Siddaramaiah to his residence on Friday night and the chief minister showed his displeasure on the measures taken to contain the swine flu.
It is a known fact that several cases have been reported in the country as well as in the state. But the CM feels that until the media published the figures of the fatalities in the public domain, the health ministry was not very serious.
CM is reported to have told Khader that more measures should be taken to control the flu like holding meetings with health authorities in the district level and forming a special task force if necessary.
CM has told to keep a track of persons admitted in private hospitals who are suspected to have contracted the flu. He has instructed to provide treatment on priority basis in swine flu cases.
Khader was told to take the swine flu matter seriously.
So far more than 200 cases of swine flu have been recorded in the state with 17 persons already losing their lives.
