Los Angeles, Feb 9 (IANS): Musician Beck's album “Morning Phase” bagged the Album Of The Year trophy at the 57th edition of the Grammy Awards.
The ceremony was held here at the Staples Center Sunday night.
Singer-songwriter Prince presented the award to Beck, who thanked everyone involved with the production of the album while accepting the award.
After thanking them, Beck included his family in his acceptance speech. He thanked his kid, who allowed him to keep them awake while he was recording the album at his residence.
The US singer was pitted against “Beyoncé” by Beyoncé, “X” by Ed Sheeran, “In The Lonely Hour” by Sam Smith and “G I R L” by Pharrell Williams.
Beck took home another trophy in the Best Rock Album category for his album.
The album was awarded with the Best Engineered Album in the non-classical category as well.
He also performed with band Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, leaving the audience mesmerised with his performance.
