Panaji, Jan 6: Goa Cabinet on Friday decided to scrutinize the controversial plan for commercial and residential purposes following resignation by Town and Country Planning Minister Atanasio Monserratte over Regional Plan 2011.
Monserratte quit Pratapsinh Rane ministry following outcry over the Regional Plan 2011 and personal criticism on him for designing the plan, which fears to rob Goa of its beauty.
The state cabinet also decided that the Regional Plan 2001 would be in force, till all the clouds over controversial Regional Plan 2011, are clear.
Rane, however, continued his indecision over the resignation of Monserratte.
"I will decide on his resignation only after meeting Governor S C Jamir," Rane told reporters emerging from the cabinet meeting.
Monserratte, who tendered his resignation on January 3, has said he will stick to his decision to quit.
Rane, who was scheduled to meet the Governor, on Thursday, could not meet him, as he had to rush to Mumbai for personal reasons. "I will meet Governor in the afternoon to discuss the issue," Rane said.
