In this direction, I request Captain Ganesh Karnik to appeal his leaders to sanction Mangaluru smart city project. State and union governments are giving importance to infrastructure development. State government is committed to take all the help from centre to make Mangaluru a smart city. Politics is different when it comes to development. We always strived to give the best quality to our customers and today we are recognized as the builders of quality. In spite of all odds, we have grown bigger and stronger. At times, we faced difficulties but never gave up. With the best quality and affordable projects, we also exercised social responsibility towards the society. We widened and developed KS Rao road. We have built the pride of Mangaluru city, City Centre Mall. At the time of its inauguration, it was the second biggest mall in Karnataka. We have already completed 53 projects and many projects are coming up. I thank all the dignitaries on the dais, partners, clients and our staff for their overwhelming support and trust in us”.
Former union mininster M Verappa Moily said, “Mangaluru has developed with Mohtisham. When I was the chief minister of Karnataka, my government wanted to invest in Mangaluru because we felt that development should start from coastal area. After Bombay which is overcrowded, if any city has the potential then its Mangaluru in the whole nation. Thermal plant was rejected. When I proposed Vijay nagar steel plant, there was a strong opposition in spite of that it was built. If I had not taken that adventure, then Vijay nagar plant would not have existed today. I always wanted to develop Mangaluru as a silicon valley. Even people who climbed Mount Everest thought at one point that they will not be able to climb but eventually when they took a step towards it, they reached their goal. In the same way Mohtisham has taken a step towards growth that has put them in such a strong position today. I wish all the success to the organisation”.
Speaking on the occasion, Palemar said, “The organisation has completed 25 years which is important but how it has completed these years are far more important. Mohtisham has always thought about the society that is why it has reached this position. If Mangaluru has developed so much then one part of the credit goes to Mohtisham as well. We will try to get smart city project in Mangaluru. I congratulate Mohtisham on their silver anniversary celebration and wish all the best in their future endeavours”.
Captain Ganesh Karnik said, “About smart city project, people ask what it is all about. As citizens, it is each one’s responsibility to ask for the smart city project. CREDAI is doing good job and I want to congratulate them. When we ask for smart city, there are many things which have to be considered like how is the road accessibility and drainage system. When the smart city project works, not only the city develops and but also the people who live in the city. The smart city project is a collective responsibility which is not constrained to developers and policy makers. I congratulate Mohtisham on their success”.
