Mumbai, Jan 28: Director Anurag Kashyap has given everyone a glimpse of Ranbir's look in Bombay Velvet wherein he plays the role of a street fighter, by putting up a photo of the same on Twitter. Ranbir is seen in looking over his shoulder from his position against the wired wall of a fighting cage.

He looks like he has just come through a hell of a fight with his tattered and dirty vest, his bandaged hands, his sweaty countenance and in general rugged look. Ranbir is said to have braved intense training in boxing for the fight scenes that he did for the movie. He also shows off his six pack abs in his fight scenes.

Karan Johar plays the bad guy in the movie, which is said to tell the tale of Bombay's journey through the 50's and 60's to the larger than life metropolis it is today. On the topic, Anurag said, "I'm recreating a bygone era but I had not imagined that it needs so much of post production. I'm finally learning what it takes to make a big film."

The female lead, Anushka Sharma plays a jazz singer and the top trio are reported to be embroiled in a love triangle of sorts.

The intended release of the film was supposed to be in the August of 2014 but the repeated requirement for editing and fine tuning has pushed the date to be in 2015.
