Puttur: 'What is driving BJP's new-found love for CBI?' questions Sorake

Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Jan 28: State minister for urban development, Vinay Kumar Sorake, expressed shock and surprise over the fact that the BJP, which had been a bitter critic of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI),has suddenly been warming up to the same agency after the National Democratic Alliance wrested power at the centre. He questioned BJP the secret behind this sudden transformation.

Speaking to press persons here on Tuesday January 27, 'Concerning Arkavathy Layout issue, the BJP is making false allegations against chief minister, Siddaramaiah. People of the state know who had gone to jail in connection with notificiations in the past,' he remarked.

When the media persons questioned him about the allegation of BJP that money had not been released to Dakshina Kannada zilla paanchayat for handling drinking water problem during the summer, he said that the state government had not shown any favouritism or partiality in the release of grant. He chose instead, to charge the central government of not releasing any funds to the urban development department, although proposals had been sent by the state government. He claimed that his department had received maximum grant when United Progressive Alliance was in power at the centre.

Sorake said that there had been minor hiccups in issuance of notification converting the town municipal council here into city municipal council. 'All these issues have since been addressed. Within a week this notification will be released, and the municipality here will become city municipality within a few days,' he assured.

MLA, Shakuntala T Shetty, and dignitaries like N Sudhakar Shetty, Fazlul Raheem, A Hemanath Shetty and Sriram Pakkala were present at the press conference.

    Dear Sorake
The new found fear of CBI by the congress now after BJP came to power now explains BJPs new found love. It's all fair in politics. You had your acche din for last decade with CBI. Even Supreme Court has given you the certificate for that. Now it's time for BJP. Just relax and watch the show. If you have not done wrong then why fear now ?
