Mangaluru: DySP Dr Venkatesh Prasanna chosen for President's Medal

Mangaluru, Jan 26: Another feather has been added to the cap of deputy superintendent of police (DySP), Dr H N Venkiatesh Prasanna, who is presently posted in the office of the inspector general of police (IGP) here at present. He has been chosen for President's Medal in recognition of his meritorious services and achievements.

Prasanna, identified as one of the most effective and efficient police officers in the region, had handled a number of high profile criminal cases successfully when working in district crime intelligence bureau and city crime branch here.

He had earned recognition and laurels in cracking a number of underworld and terrorism-related cases and putting down such elements with an iron hand.

Prasanna had also earned doctorate relating to his research in history of police department.

Former IGP of western range Pratap Reddy, who is currently the IGP of Internal Security Division, Bengaluru, has been chosen for President's Medal for distinguished service.
