Bengaluru: High court says no to CBI probe in Nandita case

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Jan 24: The Karnataka high court on Friday January 23 dismissed a petition which sought the CBI probe into the mysterious death of student Nandita Poojary in Thirthahalli.

The father of the deceased student, T G Krishnamurthy had approached the court seeking the CBI probe saying he had no faith in the state agency Criminal Investigations Department (CID) which was conducting the probe.

The government had entrusted the probe to CID and the probe had started with preliminary report made public last month.

Advocate general Ravivarma Kumar submitted that CID had already almost completed the investigations and the report on the same will be submitted to the court in two weeks' time. The advocate general also said that the case at this point is not fit to be handed over to any other agency.

Justice Manjunath after hearing the submission dismissed the petition.

The death of 14-year-old Nandita last year had sparked tensions across the state.

Opposition BJP had blamed the government of shielding the culprits responsible for Nandita’s death.

During the earlier NDA rule too CBI was directly under the PMO so these chaddis used to cry for each and everything "CBI Enquiry" "CBI Enquiry".

When UPA was in power CBI was given a free hand. Now as NDA is again back in power these Chaddis poke thier noses everywhere giving communal colours and then cry "CBI Enquiry".
If for simple things CBI is called then what is the necessary of the State Police. Why so much amount is paid on them as salary? this is a huge loss to government exchequer.

The Hon'ble High Court has given the very good verdict. The father of the girl should have been penalized severely for wasting the precious time of the court.

At-least now let these jobless persons keep their mouth shut, and stop.
