London, Jan 13 (IANS): English football club Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo Tuesday completed a loan move to Premier League Crystal Palace for the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old forward has played six times for Arsenal this term, scoring his first competitive goal for the club in the 2-0 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund in November.
The Frenchman made 14 appearances for the English club last season.
Sanogo was a key member of France's victorious Fifa Under-20 World Cup-winning side in 2013, finishing the tournament as his side's top scorer.
"Sanogo joins Crystal Palace for the opportunity to gain more first team experience," said a statement on the Arsenal official website.
"Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Yaya the best of luck during his time at Selhurst Park."
"He's a young player with tremendous promise, somebody that I have tracked personally and this club has too so that fitted well," Palace manager Alan Pardew was quoted as saying on his club's official website.
"We have given him an opportunity, he needs to play more games and I think he's ready for that and he proved that at Arsenal."
