Mangaluru, Jan 8: A press meet was organized by MLA Moideen Bava at MCC premises, Lalbagh here on January 8.
Addressing the media persons Moideen Bava said, "The recent Soorinje murder incident is an act of revenge, a case related to extortion, and not related to Ganja Mafia. There are ganja mafia problems in my constituency, the police are in a hunt to catch them and curb the same. The punishment will be severe for those caught in the drug mafia".
"The airport requires about 189 crores for the full-fledged international airport to be functional. The DGCA and the state government have given up their efforts due to the shortage of funds. Hence, the airport can be developed in Public-Private –Partnership (PPP model) and hence we will seek funds from the NRI investors in Dubai and request them for the investments".
Development works undertaken
About 26 schools in the constituency have been given the total grant of Rs 40 lacs and grant worth Rs 1.87 crore has been sanctioned for the building of Kavoor First Grade College. He also said, about Rs 68.95 lac grant has been sanctioned through Devraj Arus Backward Classes Development Board.
