Mangaluru, Jan 3: "The annual feast of Infant Jesus will be celebrated on Wednesday January 14 at Infant Jesus Shrine, Carmel Hill, Bikarnakatte. As a spiritual preparation for the annual feast, nine days of Novena will be held from January 5 to January 13 said Rector Joe Tauro.
He was addressing the press meet at press club here on Saturday January 3.
He also said that " The annual feast of Infant Jesus will be held on January 14th at 6pm with Solemn Mass by Dr Ignatius D' Souza, the Bishop of Bareilly. The masses will be held from 6 am to 12:30 pm and novena up to 1:30 pm. The special prayer for the sick will be observed on January 10. The holy mass in English and Konkani will be held daily and in Malayalam language on Monday. Every Thursday the Novena prayers and Masses will be held. The Konkani Novena will be held 6 times and English Novena once on Thursday.
Free meals will be served to the devotees during the Novena days. On January 14, vehicles will not be allowed inside the premises of the church because more than 15,000 devotees will take part in the occasion.
