Oscar Fernandes is minister in the Center for too long. If he really interested in developing the coastal region then now Mangalore and Udupi would be a far better region for Jobs and other facilities.. he has not given 100% to the people of the coastal regions.. not sure when the concrete road from KPT to Airport gets completed. he was talking about flyover from KPT from Airport.. good joke )

    Milan, DXB,

Can U please explain why credit should be given to Oscar when he was Roads & Transport Minister in the Central Government. What was his contribution. Two years ago I did meet him in St Patrick Church
& explained to him the pathetic condition of this Ghat Road & how important it is to repair it on priority basis. But he did nothing except sanctioning RS.100 crores without completing the work during his tenure. Yesterday I returned from Mangalore through Shiradi Ghat & major part of the Ghat is in a very bad shape. Year after year Government is spending Crores of rupees but I fail to understand to whose pocket this large funds r going to. I believe it is a Gold mine for our Corrupt Politicians & Corrupt Contractors to swindle the amount without repairing the Ghat & putting all the Commuters to the maximum hard ship.

RS.10 Crores is a big amount. I doubt even they have spent RS. One Crore last year to repair the Shiradi Ghat.

Any alternative arrangement of KSRTC buses for daily commuters from Gundya - Nelyadi to Mangalore- Udupi ?
So far they were depending on Buses coming from Bengaluru to Mangaluru via Shiradi. After 2nd January how Gundya-Nelyadi daily commuters will come to Mangaluru ?
