Melbourne, Dec 27 (IANS): India were 108 for one and trailed Australia by 422 runs at stumps on day two of the third Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) here Saturday.
Murali Vijay (batting 55) led India's fightback as Australia plundered 530 all out in their first innings.
Shikhar Dhawan (28) was the only Indian wicket to fall in the final session while Cheteshwar Pujara (batting 25) provided Dhawan company at the end of the day's play.
