Former bodyguard against pardon for Mark Wahlberg

Los Angeles, Dec 18 (IANS): Actor Mark Wahlberg does not deserve pardon for the assaults that he committed in the past, says his former bodyguard Leonard Taylor.

Wahlberg is seeking a pardon for crimes that he committed back in 1988, when he struck a Vietnamese man on the head with a stick and punched another. However, Taylor, who claims he was also assaulted by the actor, says he should not be treated any differently, reports pagesix.com.

“He hasn't changed his ways, he just has money now where he can cover it up. You can take Mark out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of Mark,” Taylor said.

Taylor claimed in his $2 million civil law suit that the 43-year-old actor punched him in the face and bit his arm. But Taylor later dropped the suit, and no criminal charges were ever filed.

Despite this, he maintains that the “Pain & Gain” star still has a fierce temper.

“Mark liked to say things I think are inappropriate. One minute he's laughing, the next he's looking at you with the evil eye. He goes from hot to cold real quick. There is no middle ground with him,” Taylor said.
