Adelaide, Dec 11 (IANS): India were 223 for three in their first innings at tea on day three of the first Test and trailed Australia by 294 runs at the Adelaide Oval here Thursday.
Captain Virat Kohli (48 batting) and Cheteshwar Pujara (73) put on a solid 81-run stand for the third wicket but the partnership ended with Pujara unlucky to be bowled by off-spinner Nathan Lyon.
Ajinkya Rahane was batting on 19 when the session ended.
