Panaji, Nov 21: Confederation of indian industry's (CII) two-day conference `India, the big picture' will start in Goa from Wednesday, November 22, on the eve of the International film festival of India, 2006.

Eminent Goan architect Charles Correa would be felicitated by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), during the conference on November 22. "The conference is organized in coordination with Film and TV Producers Guild of India," CII officials stated.

The conference is envisioned to provide direction for catalyzing growth of the Indian film entertainment space. "India's emergence as a global economic power continues to draw attention from the international business community. Not only is India's economy exciting, the film entertainment space is growing strong," said CII's national entertainment committee chairman Bobby Bedi.

The two-day conference will have overseas speakers including Steve Tirado, CEO, Silicon Image, USA, Hisham Alghanim, head, Kuwait national cinema Co, Mile Ellis, senior vice president and regional director, Asia pacific region motion pictures association, Xavier Merlin, CNC, France, Clare Wise, head international, UK film council, Richard Soames, president, Film finances, Audunn Atalson, deputy chief mission, Embassy of Iceland, Rex Weiner, Media Tekla, USA and others, said officials.

The prominent Indian speakers at the conference include Bobby Bedi, chairman, CII national entertainment committee, Manmohan Shetty, MD, Adlabs, Bonny Kapoor, Shailendra Singh, and others.
