Mangaluru, Dec 2: "All district hospitals in the state will get 'Janasanjivini' facility within three months. The government will provide generic drugs to patients at a price fixed by the government. This unit will be completely air conditioned and in future, it will be extended to the taluk hospitals as well," said U T Khadar, state minister for health and family welfare.

He also said that in Wenlock Hospital various divisions like waste water treatment plant, mortuary, sub divisions of dental clinic, semi ICU unit, X-ray unit, DRTB center and club foot care centre will be inaugurated on December 5.

"Wenlock hospital's mortuary is a full fledged one. This mortuary is role model to the entire state" he said.

Prior to the press meet, he addressed a meeting in connection to the 20th Uroos celebration, which is being held once in five years in succession of Qutubuzzaman Asseyyid Muhammed Shareeful Madani at Ullal.

In the meeting, the minster urged the district administration to make arrangements for the smooth functioning of the programme and also urged that roads which connect Ullal Dargah be repaired before the programme commences.

To provide health facilities during Uroos celebration, U T Khadar said the health department will set up a temporary health clinic adjacent to the Ullal Dargah so that first aid treatment is provided in case of emergency and also temporary sanitation facilities will be put in place.

Deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim said that the display signboards should be written in three languages - Kannada, Urdu and Malayalam.

The Uroos will be held from April 2 to April 26.

I am not sure why people below call him a good leader. His constituency has the following credits...
highest thefts, worst roads, no proper water and drainage, highest illegal cattle slautering, no proper bus shelters or footpaths. As health minister he banned guthka, but it is still so openly available. When we enter his area when traveling towards kasargod we feel we have entered some underdevloped country, especially in Thokkotu. It has bo proper footpaths and filled with filth. I dont know what his achievements are, is it just people blindly following him.
He has been telling that he road from Thokkutu to Konage will be widened in 2 months for the past 4 years, but not an inch has been widened. Just a plan in paper is not enough, it has to be implemented. Any one can give ideas.

Khadar Bhai, you have ideas that we appriciate. This is one of them.At the same time please see that it functions also.because as we know in our Mangalore in Ration Shops etc.the People say everything is soldout or no stock.Hiding material and later selling to high Prices.such condition should not occur. It should function always .Then we will be happy about health facilities provided by you are good and functions.May God bless you.

Yes, Hats off to you sir, I have been reading a lot about your good deeds like sudden checking of health provider facilities. Please continue and publish every act so that general public will start trusting the free health care provided by the Government and also needy will get genuine health care.

How about checking on integral part of hospital i.e nurses. In some of the hospitals patients nurse ratio is very weak
