1.6 lakh devotees throng Old Goa on Saturday

 Panaji, Nov 30 (TNN): More than 1.6lakh people paid homage to St Francis Xavier on November 29, the tenth day of the Exposition of the Sacred Relics of 'Goencho Saib'

An official said that since the first day of the novena dedicated to St Francis Xavier, there has been a surge in the number of pilgrims visiting Se Cathedral. Last Sunday, over 90,000 pilgrims visited Old Goa and organizers expect around 1.5 lakh pilgrims on November 30. The feast of St Francis Xavier will be celebrated on December 3.
