Mangalore, Nov 10: The special investigation team of the Excise Department Mangalore raided a house near KMF dairy at Kulshekar. A total of 55 boxes of spurious liquor were seized at around 1 am on Friday.
The officers told Daijiworld team which was present at the spot during the raid that based on reliable sources they had found out that liquor was being stored in the house and was being brought from Goa.
However on Thursday night, the excise officers conducted a raid and seized the goods. In the operation, the miscreants who were in the vicinity managed to escape.
The total worth of the goods seized is said to be over a lac of rupees.
