Indian eves draw 2-2 against Kiwis, lose series 0-3

Stratford (New Zealand), Nov 13 (IANS): The Indian junior women's hockey team was held to a 2-2 draw in the sixth and last match against New Zealand who won the series 3-0 at the TET Multisports Centre Thursday.

There was plenty of action right from the beginning as both teams played aggressively. Felicity Reidy opened the scoring for the home team before Lilima Minz provided the equaliser for India.

India mounted further pressure on New Zealand and took a 2-1 lead with a goal by Navjot Kaur.

New Zealand's Deanna Ritchie breached the Indian defence and scored her team's second goal.

With this draw, the Neil Hawgood-coached India failed to win a single match in the series.
