Mangalore, Nov 7: Noted Konkani writer and activist Dr Edward Nazareth has been unanimously elected new president of Konkani Writers’ Forum, Karnataka (Regd.) Mangalore.
Dr Nazareth, professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Fr Muller Medical College, Mangalore is also a columnist in www daijiworld.com. He is the founder-secretary of the Konkani Writers' Forum and is actively involved in various Konkani movements in Karnataka.
Other office-bearers are Dr Pius Pinto and Alice Fernandes (Shalini, Valencia)- vice presidents; Dolphy Lobo - secretary; Lily Miranda- joint secretary; J F D’souza – treasurer; Jerry Kulshekar, Raymond D’Cunha, Eddie Netto, Joachim Pinto and Marcel D’Souza - members.
