Mangalore, Nov 6: The new office bearers for Konkani Rakonn Sanchalan, Chikmagalur were elected at a meeting held at Kalaangann here on Sunday November 5 afternoon.  Konkani Rakonn Sanchalan was established to promote Konkani in Chikmagalur diocese.

A total of 22 members of Chikmagalur were present for the training programme held at Kalaangann on Sunday.  Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president Eric Ozario, Fr Pratap Naik SJ, Dr Edward Nazareth and Roshan Castelino trained the trainees on leadership, building and running organization and laity leadership.

Elections to elect new office bearers were held in the afternoon and were officiated by Eric Ozario, Vitori Karkal and Denis D'Silva.  Following were elected as office bearers on the occasion:
