Mangalore, Nov 4: The third music nite by well-known Konkani singer cum composer Stany Mendonca (Cascia) will be staged at the open grounds of St Anne Church at Kelarai on Sunday November 5 evening. The music nite has been promoted by Catholic Sabha, Kelarai unit.
Konkani Kogull Wilfy Rebimbus will be the guest of honour on the occasion. Parish priest Fr Mark Castelino will be the chief guest. Stany Mendonca and his melodious voice are not new to Konkani buffs. He had started lending his voice to many of Wilfy Rebimbus' nites at a very young age. He is also a well-known composer and has already staged 2 music nites earlier. After leaving Mangalorean shores in search of better pastures in UK, Stany is now starting another innings of music in his native land.
Noted Konkani singers such as Konkani Kalashree Claud D'Souza, Rony Crasta Kulshekar, Jossie Theodore, young yet established singer Babita D'Costa, up and coming Carol Monteiro along with little kids Ashvija Mendonca, Sonal Mendonca, Ashit Mendonca, Sanjay D'Souza, Oswin Theodore and Ovin Theodora are all set to mesmerize the eager crowds with 15 melodious compositions of Stany Mendonca. Music maestro Joel Pereira will score background music while dancers from 'Angels' troupe will rock the spectators will their dance. Santhosh D'Costa and his co-artistes will take charge of comedy skits. In all it is a total Konkani entertainment package which will be delivered at the Kelarai Church Grounds on Sunday evening. Moreover a free entry too all will be provided.
Stany's first music album "Chintnam, Bhognnam, Bhavanam" will be released on the occasion. The album has 11 songs composed by Stany and sung by Claud D'Souza, Rony D'Cunha, Rony Crasta, Babita D'Sa, Anita Sampson and Carol Monteiro along with Stany Mendonca.
