Karkala, Nov 4: Margaret D'Souza, wife of George D'Souza of Belman near here ended her life by consuming poison on Friday November 3 afternoon. She had consumed poison on Thursday November 2 night and was admitted to a private hospital here. However, she died on Friday.
Though immediate reasons for her suicide are not known, sources said that she was suffering from high blood pressure for quite long. Despite several medicines and precautions, her health did not improve much. Distressed by this, she ended her life on Friday.
Sources also said that her husband George is employed in one of the Northern states of the country. Her sister-in-law Benedicta D'Souza who was living with her has filed a complaint with the rural police station in this regard.
