Mangaluru, Nov 6: Students from All College Students Union protested demanding to form a special police cell against the increasing sexual assaults on students and also to crack the mysterious death case of Nanditha which recently took place in Thirthahalli.
The protest was organized in front of DC office here on Thursday November 6.
Addressing the protest, All College Students' Union president Deekshith V Shetty said "Sexual assault cases are increasing with the students and women. State government should take this issue very seriously. Government should also form a special police cell especially to curb increasing sexual assaults on students. Though several students deaths occured in mysterious ways, cases still remain unsolved. Hence government should handover Nanditha's case to CBI."
Reshal, a student from Shridevi College also said that "Sexual assault cases are also increasing on college girls. Government should form a separate special police cell to curb the sexual assaulta on women."
Memorandum was submitted to the state chief minister through the deputy commissioner.
