Puttur, Nov 6: A small fight which took place on Tuesday night did spread to the whole town making Kadaba tense. The tension which prevails still has so far ended with two arrests made, manhunt launched for four persons and half a day strike observed by tourist vehicles.
As per reports, the fight started between a taxi driver and some youth on Tuesday night. That was about a small issue of paving way to the vehicles. The taxi driver and his brother were allegedly assaulted by six youth who are believed to be members of SDPI.
The attempt to murder case has been registered against 6 persons. They are: Yasin, Mustafa, Mohammed Ansar, Sharif, Jalil and Nebi. Yasin and Mustafa have been arrested so far and police are on the lookout for the other four. Out of the four, one has been admitted to a hospital.
Kamalaksha(29) and Mohana (27) are the brothers who were assaulted.
Mohammed Ansar who has been admitted to a Puttur hospital has alleged that his bike was hit by a vehicle driven by Kamalaksha and Kamalaksha was stopped while he ran away from the scene. Kamalaksha and Mohana allegedly assaulted Mohammed Ansar then. Ansar has also filed a police complaint.
As per Kamalaksha’s complaint, he and his brother were assaulted by six people while they enquired about the accident. The complaint mentioned that Mohammed Ansar’s bike had hit Kamalaksha’s car. Mohan has been admitted to a private hospital with head injuries.
Half day strike was observed in Kadaba by the taxi drivers on Wednesday.
The small fight made the Kadaba town very tensed for the whole day of Wednesday.
