Mangalore, Nov 1: The Mangalore Musical and Cultural Association (MMCA) will hold 'Kala Sangam - 2006' a series of programmes for children, young people and the senior citizens from Sunday November 5 to Sunday November 19, stated a press release issued here.

The programmes will be held at 'Gitanjali' at Lower Bendur here. Competitions will be in various categories including flower arrangement, drawing, painting, handwriting, essay, quiz, dance, singing, fancy dress and others. The contests will be based on various categories ranging from kindergarten to senior citizens. The contests are open for all.

There will be solo as well as team competitions. Students of Kannada medium will be evaluated separately stated the release.

The overall trophies for the winner, I runner up and II runner up will be awarded at a function at 'Gitanjali' on Sunday November 19. Special trophies will be awarded to the participant securing the highest points.

Those who wish to register may contact in person the MMCA director at Gitanjali, Lower Bendur, III Cross, Mangalore, on or before Friday November 3 between 4 and 6 pm.

MMCA has been conducting such varied programmes from 1985 and has also been organizing choir, orchestra, concerts and other musical programmes.
