Udupi, Oct 31: Adding to the daylight thefts that are reported in DK is yet another case reported in Shirva. According to police sources, the house of Edmond Machado located near MSRS College, Shirva here was burgled.

The miscreants gained entry into the house on Oct 29 between 10 am and 2 pm by breaking open the front door lock.

Gold ornaments worth Rs 24,500 were reported stolen.

A case has been registered in Shirva police station and investigations are on.
