Karkala, Oct 28: Sangama Kalavider - Manipal and Sadhana Sanghatane - Bangalore will present a Kannada stage-play in a series of shows, to be staged in different towns of Udupi and Chikmagalur districts, commencing October 28.

The play has been translated from the Tulu play "Undu Ramayana Att" (This is not Ramayan) and is aimed at evoking awareness among people about the problem of Naxalism, under the sponsorship of the police department. It does not support Naxalism nor does it oppose it, but it is said to be an attempt to show the reality. The situations are also have a resemblances to those in the Ramayan, say the organizers.
