Mangalore, Oct 26: The social work department of St Aloysius College here has organized "Samprathi", an annual seminar on 'Current Issues Challenging Social Work' on Monday October 30 and Tuesday October 31.
The seminar will be held at St Aloysius College IT Auditorium and will be inaugurated by chief guest Mamatha Gatti, president, DK zilla panchayat. Fr Francis Serrao, rector, will preside over the programme.
The seminar will focus on the current issues on post modernism, human trafficking, right to information and market economy. The South Indian universities students, professors and NGOs will be the participants.
The valedictory will be held on Tuesday October 31 evening. Deputy Commissioner Maheshwar Rao will be the chief guest while Umashankar Periodi, project leader of Azim Premzi Foundation, Bangalore will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
