Mangalore, Oct 19: The Kankanady police led by inspector Belliappa and Highway Patrol police have arrested two persons while trying to sell hemp at Pumpwell Circle near here on Thursday October 19.
The police found two persons standing suspiciously in the bus stand with two full sacks in their hands. They first tried to evade police, but later spilt the beans. Police seized 10.5 kilograms of hemp from them. The arrested have been identified as Ibrahim (29), son of the late Sheikh Kunhi of Barimar in Bantwal and Farooq (24), son of Yousuf of Barimar.
A case has been registered in the Kankanady police station in this regard.
