Mangalore, Oct 15: Two day inter-collegiate fest 'CANARENA-2014' for the post graduate students was inaugurated here on Wednesday October 15, at Sri Sudhindra Auditorium in Canara Girls High School, Dongerkary, Mangalore. CA S S Kamath, president of Canara High School (CHS) Association inaugurated the fest.
Addressing the gathering, CA S S Kamath in his inaugural speech,said , "Theme for this year is 'Minerva' which is a Roman God indicating wisdom and arts. Changes are taking place so fast that we are not able to catch it unless you are a professional. You require several qualities to be a professional. Keep your knowledge upto date by attending the seminars, talks and various conventions."
Ranganath Bhat, secretary of CHS Association in his presidential address said that the new generation requires punctuality.
"To become a better person in life, you should strive towards success." he added
Dr K V Malguni was the guest of honour on the occasion.
The two days inter-colligiate fest comprises of various competitions like Janus- Ice breaker, Hercules-Best Manager, Dispater- Finance, Felicitas- Marketing and Virtus- HR.
On this occasion CA S S Kamath unveiled the trophies.
Archana Nayak, Aparna Kamath and others were also present during the programme.
