Mangalore, Oct 15: Derik's Chess School, Mangalore on behalf of Chess Association, Dakshina Kannada will organize Under 11 Boys and Girls District Chess Championship from 17th October at its premises in 1st A Cross, Mannagudda.

Eligibility: Players born on or after January 1, 1995 from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district

Reporting Time: 9.30 am on Octobere 17.

Adith Jagadish to fly to Georgia

DCS-trained Lourdes Central School student Adith Jagadish will be taking part in the Under 12 category in the World Youth Chess Championship to be held at Batumi, Georgei from October 18 to 29, 2006.

Adith Jagadish has FIDE Rating 2162 in the October list announced by FIDE (World Chess Federation) and is the topmost active Rated player from DK district (tops Sub Juniors in the State).

He will join the Indian Team at New Delhi which will leave for Georgia on October 17.
