Udupi, Oct 8: A person who had come to KMC Manipal for treatment lost his valuables kept in his parked car on Monday October 6.
H K Lokesh, the victim of theft had come to KMC Manipal on October 6 at 7.15 pm. He had locked and parked his Duster car No KA45 M3045 in front of Adamar old math. He hired a room at Bhandarkeri math in front of Udupi Sri Krishna Math.
When he returned to the car at 7.35 pm, he found that somebody had broken the window of his car on the left side and had taken away a coffee colored vanity bag containing a gold chain weighing 30 grams valued approximately at Rs 75,000, a gold finger ring with corals weighing six grams valued at Rs 15,000, another gold ring with corals weighing four grams valued at Rs 10,000, a Sonata ladies wrist watch costing Rs 5,000, a Samsung mobile costing Rs 1,500, Rs 2,400 cash, a Canara Bank ATM card, two Corporation Bank ATM cards, two Income Tax cards, a Heritage club card, Driving License, Adhar Card and two Oriental Raksha Health Insurance Cards.
The total value of the stolen articles is said to be about Rs 1,08,900. A police case has been registered in Udupi town police station under No. 283/14 column 379 IPC.
