Bantwal, Oct 5: “The awards that a person receives for the development of society are precious. The personality of the person is valued more with his achievements. When we proceed giving up anger, hatred and jealousy, we reach a position where we get identified in the country. Ramesh Nayak is one of them”, said retired school inspection official K Narayana Nayak after felicitating national award winner K Ramesh Nayak Rai.
He was speaking after presiding over a programme held to felicitate national award winner K Ramesh Nayak Rai on behalf of the home town by Maha Ganapathi Seva Vrinda Karpe and Dharmastala rural development project, Karpe.
“The felicitation should be such that along with the award the strength behind the person should be also honoured. The profession of teachers is noble, so maintain its dignity. Rai has made a name by working in other organizations along with school”, he added.
“The honour of the home town is more precious and prestigious than any other honour”, said Ramesh Nayak Rai.
Supervisor of Dharmastala rural development project, Vinayaka Gunaga, Sangabettu grama panchayat member Devappa Karkera, Taluk panchayat member Revathi R Poojary, Siddakatte college lecturer Sheenappa N, retired food inspector Bhoja K, Kodamanithaya temple managing trustee Dr Ramaraya Prabhu, Karpe retired headmaster Ganesh Nayak Halai, Lokayya Poojary, Sanjeeva Shetty among others were present.
Village fans and old students garlanded Ramesh Nayak on the occasion. Mahaganapathi Seva Vrinda, Karpe founder president Prabhakar Prabhu welcomed and Shekar Naika proposed the vote of thanks. Ravindra Nayak compered the programme.
